Nonduality Book Study Group

Please join us for a Non-Duality Study Group in downtown Washington DC.

We will be studying Rupert Spira's excellent book "The Transparency of Things", as well as the DVD interview with him about his teaching.  We'll most likely be staying with Rupert's material for all of 2011.  See an excerpt from the DVD interview below.

We will also explore some related writings from Francis Lucille, Adyashanti and others regarding the core topics of:

  • Welcoming our experience as it is
  • Investigating the nature of the "I" that we take ourselves, and others, to be

For those of you who haven't read any of Rupert's writings, one of the things that stands out is his clear description of 4 specific stages of non-dual "progression":

  1. Recognizing that the mind, body, and world are all objects of Consciousness
  2. Recognizing that the mind, body, and world all appear not just "to" Consciousness, but "within" Consciousness
  3. Recognizing that the mind, body and world all appear "as" Consciousness, ie, they are one and the same "substance"
  4. Recognizing that Consciousness is all there is, that there is only one seamless totality, with no separation

What's great is that he offers specific meditations to help us realize these concepts in our actual experience.

For those of you who have wanted to do a sustained, long-term study and practice of non-duality, this is your group!

- - -    - - -    - - -    - - -    - - -    - - -    - - -    - - -    - - -    - - -    - - -    - - -

I'm personally in the process of studying non-duality, and so am not "teaching" this group, but am facilitating a place where people who are interested can gather to study together.

Please see Study Group details below, and I look forward to seeing you there.
